OSU Communications Social Metrics
During my time at OSU Communications, I was able to exceed the objectives our leadership team set. To demonstrate the effectiveness of my outreach efforts, I pulled the following analytics comparing fiscal year 2014 to 2015.
Overall Social Increases (2014 to 2015)
- Social media interactions increased by 57.13%
- Impressions were 145.6 million compared to 94.9 million
- Facebook fans grew by 41.14%
- Twitter followers increased by nearly 47%
- Web traffic has increased 3.17%
In my role, I was able to consistently increase engagement and exceed benchmarks for established campaigns as well as develop and launch Orange Adventures and our Instagram follow campaigns independently.
Orange Adventures
- 53% increase in engagement prior to the launch of the campaign, which I developed.
Live Orange Friday
- 82% increase in engagement the first year and 71% increase the second year.
Orange Crush
- 70% increase in engagement the first year and 85% increase in engagement during the second year.
Instagram Follow Campaigns
- I spearheaded two Instagram follow campaigns, which resulted in more than 2,000 followers during the Spring 2015 semester.
